2022 ICT Mentorship - Episode 8 - Applying Institutional Order Flow To Forex Markets

Notes

  • Make sure your platform is set to New York time.
  • Michael does not like to trade yen pairs because they fluctuate more than other pairs.
  • The videos on the ICT YouTube channel are mostly focused on forex trading.
  • If we want to analyze a forex pair, we can use futures. For example, we can determine the future direction of the EURJPY by analyzing the currencies’ strengths and weaknesses using the charts of the current futures contracts for the euro and the yen.
  • Michael executes forex trades in certain periods called ICT Kill Zones.
  • In the case of forex pairs, we look for an entry setup on the same time frames as the indices. We will monitor 5-minute, 4-minute, 3-minute, 2-minute and 1-minute charts. A top-down approach is used, i.e., going from the highest time frame to the lowest.
